Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – City Tour and 4 Inca Ruins

Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and assist with your transfer to the hotel, including help with check-in. The morning will be at leisure so you can rest and properly acclimatize to the altitude.

In the afternoon, we will pick you up from your hotel at 1:00 p.m. to begin our city tour. Our first stop will be the Cathedral of Cusco, where we will spend approximately 40 minutes exploring its impressive colonial art and architecture.

We will then walk about four blocks to visit the most important Inca temple in South America, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), also known as the Golden Temple, where you will discover the fascinating fusion of Inca and colonial construction.

After visiting this remarkable site, we will board our tourist bus to explore the nearby archaeological complexes of Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. We will also stop at a local farm where you can see and learn about llamas and alpacas, two iconic animals of the Andes.

Overnight in Cusco.

Day 2 – Cusco – Machupicchu – Cusco

Breakfast at your hotel. That day you will enjoy a full-day excursion to Machupicchu, starting early with a scenic train journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the legendary “Lost City of the Incas.” Located 112 km northwest of Cusco at 2,400 meters (7,874 ft) above sea level, Machupicchu remained hidden among lush mountains and cloud forest for nearly 400 years until its rediscovery by Hiram Bingham in 1911.

Upon arrival, you will begin a tour of approximately three hours, exploring the most important sectors of the citadel while learning about the history, architecture, and mysteries of the Inca civilization. After the guided visit, you will have free time to explore the site at your own pace.

If you still have energy, you may choose to climb Huayna Picchu, the iconic peak rising behind the citadel, which offers breathtaking panoramic views. Please note that permits are limited and must be requested at the time of booking to secure your entrance ticket in advance.

After your visit, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, you may relax in the town’s hot springs before boarding the train back to Cusco. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel.
