Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary

We pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am and begin our journey from Cusco toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of the Andes and the changing landscapes of the valley.

Sacred Valley Lookout Point

Our first stop is a famous viewpoint of the Sacred Valley, where you will be able to admire the impressive scenery of the valley and the Urubamba River flowing through the mountains. This is a perfect place to understand why the Incas considered this region sacred and essential for agriculture and settlement.

Pisac Archaeological Site

We then continue to the impressive Inca site of Pisac, one of the most important archaeological complexes in the Sacred Valley. Located high on a mountain ridge, Pisac features remarkable agricultural terraces, ceremonial areas, temples, and original Inca pathways.

During the visit, you will learn about the engineering and agricultural knowledge of the Incas, as well as the strategic importance of Pisac within the Sacred Valley. The panoramic views from this site are among the most spectacular in the region.

Pisac Colonial Town and Market

After exploring the ruins, we descend to the colonial town of Pisac, where you will have free time to walk around and visit the local market. This is a good opportunity to see local handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, and souvenirs while enjoying the atmosphere of a traditional Andean town.

Afterward, we meet again for lunch at a local restaurant in the valley.

Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site

In the afternoon, we drive through the Sacred Valley to the town of Ollantaytambo, one of the most extraordinary surviving Inca towns in South America. This archaeological site is known for its massive stone terraces, ceremonial structures, and original urban design.

Ollantaytambo is especially important because many of its original Inca streets and water channels are still in use today. During the visit, you will also learn about the monumental stonework of the Incas and the importance of this town as a military, agricultural, and religious center.

From the site, it is also possible to observe the famous rock formation associated by many visitors and guides with the face of the Inca god Wiracocha.

Chinchero – The Village of Andean Weavers

On the way back to Cusco, we stop in Chinchero, a traditional Andean village well known for preserving ancestral weaving techniques. Here you can learn about local textile traditions, natural dyes, and the cultural heritage that continues to define daily life in the Andes.

Chinchero is also an important historical place where Inca remains and colonial architecture coexist, creating a unique cultural landscape.

After the visit, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
