Itinerary
Detailed Itinerary
We pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am and travel to the community of Chichubamba, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Visit to a Local Family and Guinea Pig Experience
Our first visit is to a local family, where you will learn how guinea pigs are traditionally raised in Andean households. You will also have the opportunity to participate in feeding them with local grasses such as alfalfa, while learning about their importance in traditional Andean life.
Artisanal Chocolate Workshop
Next, we visit another local family, where you will take part in the complete process of making artisanal chocolate using cacao, a fruit native to the Amazon region. This hands-on activity allows you to understand the transformation of cacao into chocolate and, at the end of the experience, you will be able to taste freshly made chocolate.
Chicha Preparation Experience
Afterwards, you will learn the complete process of preparing chicha, the most important traditional drink of the Incas. Chicha has deep cultural and spiritual significance and is still used today in Andean communities as an offering for gratitude, prosperity, family unity, and good harvests.
Traditional Community Lunch
At around 12:30 pm, we enjoy a traditional lunch prepared by local families using organic ingredients grown on their own farms. This is a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy the flavors of the Sacred Valley in a truly local setting.
Ceramic Experience Inspired by Ancient Inca Art
After lunch, you will participate in a hands-on ceramic experience inspired by ancient Inca artistic traditions. You will learn how to identify and prepare clay, then shape, design, and hand-paint your own pottery piece using traditional techniques and natural dyes.
Working with clay is not only a creative activity, but also a deeply relaxing and therapeutic experience. Many travelers find that it helps them slow down, release tension, and connect with a more peaceful rhythm of life.
Visit to the Community Workshop
You will also visit the community workshop, where local artisans explain the Inca-inspired designs they continue to create by hand. If you wish, you will have the opportunity to purchase handmade pieces directly from the artisans.

At the end of the experience, we return to your hotel, arriving at approximately 4:00 pm.
