Itinerary

Detailed itinerary:

Cusco – Raqaypata – Perolniyoc – Ñaupa Iglesia – Cusco

We pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 am and begin a scenic drive toward the community of Socma, a quiet Andean village located in the Sacred Valley region.

Hike from Socma to Raqaypata

Upon arrival in Socma, we take a short break to stretch our legs and enjoy the peaceful beauty of this traditional Andean village. From here, we begin our hike to the archaeological site of Raqaypata, located above the Perolniyoc Waterfall.

As we walk through the valley, your guide will explain the historical importance of the route and the significance of Raqaypata as a pre-Inca and Inca site. Once at the site, you will be able to explore its ancient walls, terraces, and strategic location overlooking the landscape.

Perolniyoc Waterfall

After visiting Raqaypata, we continue hiking for approximately 30 minutes to reach the impressive Perolniyoc Waterfall. This beautiful cascade drops around 35 meters and is one of the most scenic natural attractions in the area.

The waterfall is an ideal place to take photos, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and appreciate the natural beauty of the Sacred Valley.

Lunch in Socma

We then return to the Socma community, where we enjoy a traditional lunch and take time to relax before continuing with the second part of the journey.

Visit to Ñaupa Iglesia

Our next destination is Ñaupa Iglesia, a mysterious and powerful sacred site reached by a short uphill walk of approximately 30 minutes.

Ñaupa Iglesia is considered by many locals and visitors to be a place of special energy. It is often described as a sacred huaca where ceremonies and offerings are still performed. The site is known for its carved stonework, symbolic doorway, and spiritual atmosphere, which make it one of the most fascinating hidden places near Cusco.

Here, you will have time to appreciate the peaceful surroundings and learn about the spiritual significance of the site within the Andean worldview.

Return to Cusco

After the visit to Ñaupa Iglesia, we return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 pm.
